Despite the massive backlash, Trump's "major announcement" of releasing 45,000 NFTs featuring himself sold out in just a mere 12 hours. This proves that his supporters are still dedicated to him and willing to invest in pieces from his collection.

Earlier this week, Donald Trump promised a "major announcement" on his chosen platform of Truth Social. Many anticipated that he would announce the running mate for his 2024 presidential campaign, or another pivotal detail related to it. Unfortunately, even avid supporters were let down with what was revealed: A collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) themed after Mr. Trump himself!

On Thursday, Donald Trump made an exciting announcement: his official Digital Trading Card Collection is now available! Despite the fact that he didn't mention it in the post, these 45,000 digital cards are Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on Polygon's blockchain and can be yours for only $99 each.

Despite the mockery from both Trump fans and foes, all 45,000 of the NFTs sold out in just 12 hours - that's a whopping $4.45 million! The creators were given 10% for every sale on sites such as OpenSea. 

The organization responsible for this collection, NFT INT, has made it clear that the funds raised will not be directed towards Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. They have emphasized on their website that there is no affiliation between them and Donald J. Trump or any of his organizations - he simply provided a license to use his name, image and likeness for this project alone.
