ccording to a report from Russian news source, the Russian Ministry of Finance and its central bank have reached an agreement on a draft bill that permits bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments for international trade settlements.

According to Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev, the bill "writes out how cryptocurrency may be bought, what can be done with it, and whether or not cross-border settlements are possible."

However, the Bank of Russia still does not support the legalization of cryptocurrency exchanges and settlements done with cryptocurrencies within Russia, per the report.

The Bank of Russia's sentiment shows the gap in views between regulators and government officials in Russia.
