Winklevoss Demands Silbert’s Removal
C
ameron Winklevoss emphatically demands the immediate departure of Barry Silbert from his post as CEO of Digital Currency Group (DCG). It has been reported that Mr. Silbert misled both Gemini and more than 340,000 users by claiming DCG had injected around $1.2 billion to back Genesis after 3AC's collapse.
Issuing a plea to the shareholders of DCG, Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss demands that Barry Silbert be removed from his post as CEO for purportedly deceiving users of Gemini Earn.
On January 10th, Cameron published an open letter on Twitter asserting that Barry Silbert of DCG had been actively engaged in a fraudulent scheme towards approximately 340,000 Gemini earn users. Genesis Global was accused of being complicit in the deception under Silbert's leadership.
Reports indicate that Genesis was rocked by a $1.2 billion loss due to the 3AC collapse, yet Barry, DCG and Genesis are said to have deceived Gemini and its users with the claim of injecting approximately $1.2 billion in order for Genesis's operations to continue running.
In response to Barry Silbert's false representation to Gemini, Cameron has urged the DCG board to take prompt action and remove him from office.
